This thread motivated me to check up on my seats on an upcoming flight from FRA to HYD (after UA 900 SFO-FRA) and back. I had booked it on my employer's travel site (getthere.com) and selected window seats as far up front in the Y cabin as possible (especially important to me on the flight to HYD as the immigration lines are really long and slow). Well, I knew ual.com didn't show any seat assignments for the LH segments, so I registered on LH.com and queried it up there. Sure enough, the seats were nowhere close to what I had in my itinerary from getthere.com. 41G both ways, pretty much in the back of the bus. No way to select seats on LH.com, it seems, so I went back to our corporate travel site and switched seats back and forth and saw them change accordingly on LH.com. So for the moment LH has me in the seats I want. But it looks like I might have to keep a close eye on it for the next two weeks.
