I was hoping for advice on the best first class service between LAX and ORD. Last week I flew United First rt LAX-ORD. The outbound portion was a 767-300 and first class was totally unimpressive. The return, however, was a 777 service with fully lie-flat seats in United First (it was apparently an internationally configured aircraft). I'll be making this trip frequently but haven't been able to find an outbound flight using a 777 from LAX to ORD. I did see one flight listed as a 747, but I only saw it once and it doesn't appear in the schedules again. Since I travel a lot of for business, a lie-flat seat makes a big difference; and I just didn't feel the 767 first class was worth the extra fare. Any advice? Does anyone know if there is a 777 or larger service for the LAX to ORD portion, on United or another airline? Thanks very much.
