Was one of the DC-10's sporting a new livery? I remember reading somewhere that SFO was due to get a newly painted DC-10 to do the NRT flights pretty soon.

Other than the occasional repositioning flights, DC-10's are never going to do continental U.S. routes ever again. They all have W.B.C. seats. That's just too sweet a perk for Elite members.

Does anyone know if most repositioning flights carry PAX? How do they handle the disruptions this makes in the equipment schedule? When a new DC-10 comes in from MSP to SFO to eventually go into NRT service, the DC-10 carries PAX that were meant to be on a 757/A320... so does the DC-10 being sent back to MSP carry the passengers on the return flight that was meant for the 757/A320? or?
