Ugh! I'm sorry to hear about the problems with our entertainment systems. As United mentioned in our recent "unveil" of the new First Suite, new on-demand, digital entertainment systems are on the way. The First Suite will have a 15.4" LCD screen. I would expect that Business will most likely have something similar, but details have yet to be disclosed. The new entertainment system, according to a recent article in a British airline biz magazine, will be the latest version from Panasonic.
That's all well and good for passengers in F, but it should be really embarrassing to UA that passengers in Y on SQ and QF have had on demand movies, Music, trivia and video games for years and domestically Jet Blue and Frontier have had TV at each seat for a long time now. At the rate UA is upgrading its equipment it will be the year 2525 before we see improvements in C or Y.
