I forget now where I read the story (maybe someone else can give the reference) of the guy who tipped the minibar at a very fancy hotel. Not the staff member who refills the minibar: he tipped the minibar itself. When he checked out, careful examination of his bill revealed that not only was he charged a fee for the minibar, which he never used -- apparently there was a standard added basic fee for the existence of the minibar in the room -- but a percentage "service charge" was added to the minibar fee on top of that! You almost have to admire such chutzpah.
