Newark-Singapore: Why not from JFK?
Pardon me if this question has been answered before, but a search of the forum did not yield an answer.

Knowing that SQ already flies out of JFK, why did they choose EWR for the Singapore nonstops? Is it a technical consideration, marketing, or what?
