thanks

thanks for your response.

i actually would be flying out of washington dc. sorry for the confusion.

your response contains a lot of information. i had forgotten that delta's flight makes a stop but no change of planes in dakar in both directions. i once flew on cathay pacific from jfk to hkg by way of anchorage, alaska. we had to refuel, which required everyone disembarking so that the fuel could be let onto the plane. the problem with it - as i imagine the stop in dakar is - is that the flights land in the middle of the night. not quite the ideal plan.

i've been to amsterdam before, and i have to admit schiphol (not unlike zurich's which is my favorite in every respect) is a cinch. i love it. very easy.

the reason for my post is that a colleague told me that KLM's wbc seat wasn't up to par with AF's or delta's. on the outbound from iad-ams, it'd be a b-777, while on the 10:10 am flight out of ams to jnb is on the b-744 combi.

have you been on both aircraft? which of the two seats (the new wbc sea or its predecessor) do you prefer?

thanks again for your response. and i heard the flight attendents were easy on the eyes
