I might have

a) Had a chat (not a "lecture" -- your word, remember) with her later, in which I began by apologizing for getting up but noting that I feared for the other passengers' safety. My experience is that beginning with an apology -- even when one isn't obligated to -- can be a way of de-fusing the situation and allowing communication to occur.

b) If I didn't feel like doing that, I might have spoken to the Captain upon de-planing

c) If I didn't feel like either of those, I might have written an email or sent a fax to Customer Relations.

Sorry, but the FA's NEED to understand that they can't act like this, especially when this was a very dangerous situation.
Well, actually they "can" act like this. And since she's demonstrated that she can act that way, I would be leery of confronting someone who can bring down the full wrath of § 125.328 of the FARs on me.

I refuse to be scolded for doing something like this.
I'm not sure that is somethng one gets to refuse in the situation

I think I can only help the FA by explaining to her what was going on and telling her she needs to stop making conclusions without merit. She might not care, which is fine, but who knows?
I continue to find that lecturing or explaining to someone who is not my employee what his or her job consists of and how I expect him or her to do it just doesn't work very well. Perhaps your mileage has varied, and you have found the folks you run into grateful to be told how to do their jobs.

And, speaking of "conclusions without merit," it's certainly possible that there were facts here that none were aware of. Perhaps the Captain had briefed the FAs and said "You need to stay seated -- period! -- for the first x minutes because the PIREPS indicate very bad turbulence at yy minutes."
