They usually give you miles, the $75 is for those who don't have MP accounts. I got 5000 miles one time for a transcon that didn't have my EOD system working. I never got a letter, the miles were just deposited into my account a month later. Shouldn't take no more than a month for the miles to hit the account.

Now i don't think you should expect 5k worth of miles, the flight attendant hooked me up in this case. Look for 2500 miles maybe?
