what you said about sin is so true. i am a student and should have made silver elite straight off in december with one sin-aus-sin leg. (from august to december) but the miles took a while to credit and i ended up not getting it. i am considerably pissed off since i got 27k miles through the trip. NW would argue about 5k were not Elite qualifying miles i guess!(check in twice 1000, first time use kiosk 1000, some other email sign up and stuff rest of 5k)
oh well, i hate NW and they could not bother to offer the humble economy passenger even a earbud, cotton, candy and finally not even water until finally she suggests to use toilet paper in my ear.
THen, the Service desk send me some mundane nodescript non-personal response to my complaint. WHen i did complain about the non-personal response, they again replied with a non-personal " will look into it"
at this point i gave up and said no more NW except one flight to use the 27kmiles, which btw i am struggling to use since i cant find any tickets for spring break and i so want to use it now and save up for college.
aah, guess elites and all talk at a different level, still!
