There is a new chance to see the BSSD inservice at YYC. Since the Airport Authority issued the "Worst Security in Canada" memo last December, CATSA has replaced and signficantly enhanced the YYC operation. There is now enough staff that 4 CATSA BSSD will greet you about 10 feet before the A concourse security door. The BSSD grill the pax about their moisture content. At a the second station at the door, someone begins the afore mentioned triple BP card check and then demand you stand in the assigned line.
CATSA appears to have responded well to the airport authority memo and significantly enhanced the employee numbers.
