Since the majority of information that was available on the site without a password before March 15 is still easily available on the site today either 1) someone disagrees or 2) Alaska has an incompetent IT operation.

Or perhaps IT is competent, but they themselves disagree with the directive and are only doing some minimal lip service to appear to comply with it.

To the confused and frightened employees who somehow think the change had anything to do with access to their personal information, it simply doesn't. Access to any such personal info always has required a logon.
