Please help settle a dispute.

My wife is flying LAS->SFO->PVG. She had some grapes.

I said that she could take them with her, no problems as long as she ate them before landing in PVG. (Not that China actually seems to look at luggage much. I've been looked at exactly once when they left our bags behind and we had to go back and get them two days later.)

She insisted that security here in LAS would take them.
