That's strange... I always buy H fares and use miles to upgrade IAH-NRT flight. Always require 50K RT(Series 4 UF4), as Select Economy Fares upgrade.

Once I used miles to upgrade ANC-IAH one way from H fare, it cost 15K(Series 0 UF0BW). I told CSR on the phone it should be 5K since H fare is considered as Full Economy Fare, but she said only Y fare is Full Economy Fare.

AFAIK, this has not been changed for a few years, since they changed H fare to earn 150%EQM.
