You may wish to identify the hotel here.... and then have this thread moved to that hotel forum. Might be some specific information on contacts for a particular property that people in that forum would know.

Accidents happen... but the way things get resolved are important. I would certainly follow-up with the police department to let them know... It is interesting that they just "found" your stuff after you left... but not while you were that.

In regards to compensation, I know I would be happy to just have my computer back... and the knowledge HOPEFULLY that no identity theft occurred.
