I remember flying the day after the free food ended. Apparently they still had some of the boxes left coming back from YDF-YHZ on a Dash-8. The FA announced that the free boxed service had ended and there was a large amount of grumbling. After a dramatic pause, she then announced that THIS flight for some reason still had them, which placeted just about everyone, although there was still a
small bit of grumbling. Although, on flights that short, I don't see why it's needed.
