the a320 has the range to do transcon. just because B6 has to stop doesn't mean the a320 can't do it. it's because of the shorter runway/weight restriction. i've done a lot of transcons in the a320 from either SFO/LAX/SEA/SAN to IAD. never had a fuel stop.
