As you can see from the link above, this information was also published in a press release specifically for the UK, on the Air France UK web site. According to his profile, the OP is based in London. If he has both this information and his e-mail address in his AF profile, it is easy for AF to send him this type of information about events in his geographical area.
As Frequence Plus SA, the company managing the AF FFP is based in France, it has to abide by French privacy laws which are supervised by the CNIL. There is no way AF would be able to collect, store and process information about anyone pertaining to his religious, political or sexual orientation.
