You're right! I had thought I was on a non-stop because my itinerary didnt show a connection. However, I pulled up the flight schedules on ITA and it appears that the flight I am taking has a definite connection in TPE (1hr 5min)!!

It's an award ticket and the itinerary UA sent me didnt have the connection - im guessing due to the same flight number (SQ27).
