First let me say I did do a search before posting this, but the information left me more confused then before I did the search.
I currently have a paid Z class (BF) e-ticket on CO to AMS from MSP this coming month. As with most Z class tickets it's a 7day min/50 day adv/non-chg ticket.
If I went to the gate agent in AMS and asked to be moved to the flight straight into DTW (in order to avoid RJs I booked to go AMS-CO-EWR-NW-DTW-NW-MSP), would they take me, and if they did would it be in WBC or coach even though it's a BF paid ticket?
I'd enjoy trying the new WBC, and thought this might be one way of doing it.
Thanks,
flyerCO (should be flyerNW with this being my last CO booked flight!)</font>
You'll take longer to get there, and endure the RJs, but the CO transatlantic service itself is better.
The NW A330 entertainment is more advanced, and seat may have an edge over the new CO one, but it's tough to beat CO for the service on a 2-class product.
NWs service is fine, but really just a bigger salad and slightly larger, tastier entree than domestic FC...with ice cream/fruit instead of cheesecake and a couple of better $15-$20 wines. I honestly find CO domestic transcon. service superior.
But if you like movies/games/down to earth crew...NW is the best bet (schedule into DTW doesn't hurt either)!
