The J award booking class is "I".
According to the thread on the Star Alliance board, the award booking classes for F and Y are "O" and "X" respectively, but I am not 100% sure if that information is current.
Don't know if they are visible on EF. But as SA is *A, you can see availability using the ANA award booking tool. In my experience, this has been accurate.

In addition, SAA have "Any Day" awards. They are booked in F, J or Y respectively (i.e. the full fare classes). I don't know if ANYONE has EVER used them as they require around double the miles (sometimes even more than double). Not good value for miles, but I guess for those who have miles expiring...
AFAIK this is valid only for Voyager members and not as * awards (but I could be wrong).
