I agree with the previous poster. Bucharest is not one where I would spend my time. Brasov and Sighisoara are both much more interesting. Brasov has a well-restored old town, as well as a ski area (Poiana Brasov) which can be reached with a 30-minute bus ride. Sighisoara is an old fortress town, and has also been beautifully restored. Let me also recommend Sibiu, which is a bit further afield, but easily reachable by train from Brasov. (Actually, you could also get a domestic flight from Bucharest to Sibiu). Have fun!
