Oh boy, they'd just
love me. When "Check21" came into effect last year, my current bank (well, credit union) became positively
fascist about checks from Canada, claiming that because there was a high rate of fraud and criminal activity associated with them, they had to process them in some bizarre and extremely time-consuming manner.
Never mind that the only checks I got from Canada were from a government-funded organization. Never mind that I'd had checks from the same place the year before, and the year before that. Never mind that there had
never been the slightest problem with any of those checks.
By golly, they had figured out that our neighbors to the north were a bunch of con men. (Canadian FTers, they're on to you.

) So for a year now, I've had little choice but to pay the fees for wire transfers instead.
And now you say USBank doesn't like
those? Can I just bring them a briefcase of cash? Maybe that would be easier for them. Unmarked small bills, non-sequential...
