I saw that you are considering buying a full Y fare. Full Y fares are much cheaper to TPE than to KIX. In that case, you might want to consider buying your ticket to TPE and use KIX as a stopover on the return. I believe you have 3 free stopovers with the full Y, so you can still take a HNL vacation if you want.
