This is actually the website for a paper and ink visitor's guide magazine that I highly recommend. It is given out free at the Tourist Information Center and many hotels and other tourist sites. I belive it is either monthly or quarterly and packed full of great info on seasonal activities, sights, hotels, restaurants and fun stuff - even classified ads. It also has the best tourist maps and bus/subway map/schedule I have seen for Kyoto, along with a floor-by-floor map of Kyoto Station. Highly recommended that first-time visitors to Kyoto track down a copy. On my first visit, I got it at the T.I.C. in the arrivals lobby at KIX. Subsequent visits I have gone to the T.I.C. on the 9th floor of Kyoto Station.
