When my wife was in the business her clerks earned extra $$ when they up sold or got a walk in to buy a room. They also got $$ from rental car places when they setup a rental. Then theres the pizza guy that punched their card every time a pizza was brought into the hotel and after so many the desk got a free pizza. She even got $$ when she got people to signup for Priority club when it started out.
