I noticed that the date picked for the demonstration was 6 months away, for two not-in-season cities. These same cities go to just 14 days in August and only 4 days in each of June and July. That is pathetic, and I am saying that as someone that has spent over 3 million miles in this program.

There isn't a single award seat available from Seattle to Manchester UK from April 3 until November 6, and only five remaining days in the year after that. This is doubly pathetic, and I am saying that as someone that flies Delta to Manchester and knows full well it hasn't the loads of the larger European cities.

Delta isn't trying to hold seats back from FFers to sell them to other paying pasengers; they are trying to tighten up the award inventory to convert the FFers INTO the paying passengers. This was the same motivation in changing the day of departure intl upgrade rules a while back--it wasn't that non-FFers were crowding into the front cabin, Delta wanted FFers themselves to pay rather than use their FF program "benefits" that they had "earned."

Why is it wrong to post threads on this problem, and often? This is a lot more important that posts about a trick florist coupon drive or other nonsense.
