My brother was on an AA 757 (MIA-LPB) last month that suffered the same type of engine failure, except the failure occured about 30 seconds after takeoff. They just went around and landed in MIA. Why is it that this CO engine failure that resulted in an aborted takeoff made the news and, yet, I didn't see anything about my brother's AA flight, where the failure occured after takeoff.
