Nor tolerant of it. I'm not sure if she qualifies as a celebrity - I had to ask who she was and I'm at least nominally of Irish descent - but I watched the TSA in Denver pat down Mary McAleese, the President of Ireland, last year, along with her entourage. Do you mean to say she is seen as more of threat than - perhaps - Pat Sajak?

Agreed that the people who used to fly First Class now have their own planes, leaving the big seats and sadly diminished service to proles like me, but if nothing else our "Celebrity Sightings" thread reports any number of famous names em- and de-planing at LAX. Do you mean to say that AA's "Special Services" (or whatever they call it) can bypass the TSA screening lines? Or bring the famous one to the head of said line? People waiting grumble about crew members cutting in - can you imagine the reponse to preferential treatment afforded the likes of, say, Pauly Shore?

My surprise at the absence of such a line stems more from my experience elsewhere, in that far-less-busy airports have elite lines open at all hours. Why not at one of the busiest of all - LAX?
