You are correct, sir! The status you earned is for the 15 months beginning with January 2007. You're also granted the privileges of that status as soon as you earn it. So, in this case, UA is giving you a few extra months of status.

If will earn status within the next month, and I also have the possibility to match. If I will get my status directly after the 25K/50 K Miles, I will not throw my possible matching away.
