i know i read, two years ago, while trying (unsuccessfully) to book a xmas time flight to PTY (with any amount of advance notice) that CO did not release seats until much closer to travel time.

again, i do not remember what exactly the deal was, or the reasoning, but i am still perplexed.

I am trying to book a trip for my brothers and me to central or south america. i wanted to use miles, but i know im is just pi$$ing in the wind on that one.

so now ive decided to attempt to purchase tix somewhere south. im talking $1100-$2000, for H fares to CZM, BZE and LIM. when checking seating charts, not a single seat shown occupied. when are these fares going to get closer to normal?
