Past (2005) posts indicate the elite security line at AA's LAX terminal closes at 5-6 pm. Is this still the case? Hard to imagine that Jack Nicholson or Meryl Streep stands in line for 20-30 minutes if they want to board a redeye.

I couldn't find one a month or so ago - but can't say I looked that hard - just walked to the left (as you face 'em) of the F/Biz ticket counters, up the escalator, down the long roped-off lanes and into the scrum. And emerged about half an hour later - but with a couple of new friends, so not entirely a wasted evening. We knew each other so well by the end of the line I guested 'em into the Admiral's Club.
