I have been able to borrow converters from hotel management in virtually every hotel I have stayed in China over the last decade, and many of these don't usually cater to western visitors, so I would guess that you are safe. In the event that you need a converter when you get there, they can be bought for under $3 at most supermarkets and small electronics shops that you find on the street.
