Lloyd Aereo Boliviano

someone named Lloyd had nothing to do with this airline, which is something like 80 years old--the founders wanted to name their company after something long-lasting and solid, so they named it after Lloyd's of London.

Another interesting name is Braathens S.A.F.E., the Norwegian domestic carrier.

Another carrier that has an unusual name is Pluna, the Uruguayan flag carrier.
