I've always wondered why WN doesn't fly from SEA to PDX. You would think that it would be a cash cow. AS and UX charge exorbitant fares. AS could charge $69 or $79 each way and people would flock to them. They literally could run a single airplane back and forth all day long. It's a guaranteed profitable -- particularly if they apply their fabulous yield management algorithm.
