I usually never consider things like this, let alone I have not done a mileage run (if there was one, I went to SFO from PVD and stayed two nights in SFO visiting my friends while I accumulated miles and EQM). It's just that fares from Singapore to Seoul has been so high that it led me to even consider this. If SIN-ICN fares were around 600 USD, I would not consider doing this.
