Sir, According to Duncan Lewis (Letters, March 16), the assistant to Martin Broughton, British Airways' chairman, cited travelling overseas as a reason why the chairman could not respond promptly to his representations as a frustrated BA passenger.
When overseas I communicate with my office, and whomever else I choose, by using my telephone (mobile), BlackBerry (a mobile e-mail device) and sometimes a computer (portable). Perhaps through investment in such systems for its senior employees BA could improve its flagging performance and that of its senior managers. (Note to BA chairman: ask your PA, she will explain these devices to you.)
