Make it like SK where it prints out the tags or UA/DL where there are banks of machines and the desk is right there. So you queue up the ONCE and drop your bag right then and there. The current system is a load of b*ll*cks.
Not just UA/DL but IME most other US airlines as well in the US. Banks of machines, bag drops next to the machines (one per pair of machines?) and a few agents loitering around behind the bag drop area to help where needed. It works, you only queue once, the airline doesn't need any more staff than necessary to help those who need it.
Any idea if that's the plan for T5?
