If you are a US citizen, I wouldn't worry about it as long as you feel comfortable explaining the situation to an airline agent if asked. The biggest issues in such circumstances are generally: 1) that the airline rep can't automatically pull up your itinerary with a swipe of your passport or using the name on an ID or other document used to pull up the itinerary; and 2) getting frequent flyer mileage credit for your trip or getting the number into your booking. In other words, have the agent pull up your itinerary using the record locator if she/he has a problem finding it and be prepared to put in for missing mileage credit.
