The Conrad Punta del Este is overrated IMO and my preference there is a friend's apartment or house around there after having done one too many stays at that Conrad hotel.
I don't see many 10-15 year olds at the Conrad PDP but I do see a fair amount of sub-7 year olds running around with their parents there.
Perhaps it is overrated, but redeeming points may make up for that.
Now, in terms of getting to Punta from Buenos Aires, I read that there is a fast ferry between the two cities. Is this the Buquebus service? It seems to be a ferry/bus combo.
