I'm looking to spend about five days in either location next winter. We'll bring our three kids. I've read mixed reviews about Punta del Este, and have seen little on Vina del Mar. We're going to combine this trip with Bahia, if that matters.
I'm most interested in activities/sites that will keep our teens/pre-teens occupied. If we go to Punta, we'd stay at the Conrad (and use points.) Not too sure about properties in Vina.

Theres a new Sheraton in Vina, I didnt make it to Vina my last time in Chile. Dont know if their really is much to do for kids. The people of means that I met in Santigo told me when it comes to vacation they head up to Punta Cana or anywhere in the Islands as they want a Resort and to be able to forget about where the kids are as there is so much to keep them busy at thsoe places.
