Phonetic Alphabet.
It really does help to know your
Alpha's to
Zulu's or at least have a readable copy available when you make your call.
Having typed that; I must admit my last call to IndiAA was answered by an customer services operator with a very good grasp of Aussie English (AKA 'Strine); did not need to quote a
sierra or it's ilk at all. ^
