CX has recently announced a thrice weekly YVR/HKG seasonal service from June to October again this year. Both CX and Oasis are jumping on this route. Time will tell if they are right or wrong but AC on the other hand has cut the frequency from 2 daily a few years ago to 1 daily, and further would not deploy its new 77W or 77L as a priority on this route. Code share with TG, UA and SQ could make HKG a second hub, particularly for south/south east asia and western Australia.
