Some AA/AE Questions?
Hello to everyone from the US Airways forum.
I did some AA flying back in 2003 and 2002 before to becoming a US Airways loyalist. I do however have a couple of questions as it looks like my next trip will be partially on AA.
So basically I live in Chicago and I am flying ORD-PHL-BOS-PHL-SJU-PHL-CLT-ORD which is all on US Airways metal. I thought our final destination was indeed going to be SJU until I found a great deal at the St. Kitts Marriott. So on the outbound from SJU-SKB we got a US Airways partner (Caribbean Star/LIAT) going SJU-DOM-ANU-SKB. The return however only has 1 airline operating that day, and that that is how I was brought to you guessed, choosing American Airlines/American Eagle. My questions are simple ones however.
A) How are the crews? Are the pilots/FA's all SJU based people or folks continuing on from MIA, or maybe locals from St. Kitts or other islands?
B) Obviously no meal service, but is there a drink service? Any snacks?
C) We bought B fares, is that the fully Y/B refundable category?
D) For some reason, though I never try this with US, I put myself as a child passenger. I am 17? Will that cause trouble at all?
E) Seats we selected was all Row 1? Apparently seatuguru shows them as half yellow/half green and a good view out of the window.
F) How good is AA about interlining our bags to US?
G) Coming from St. Kitts arriving into SJU will I have to clear customs or how those that work given SKB is international?
H) Arriving in SJU on AE at 8AM, departing on US at 2PM? Do you think it is worth to visit the Admirals Club. How good is that lounge? Any foods or chips n' drinks? The SJU Admirals Club also charges 50$ for day pass, correct?
I) AA and US, are they co-located at SJU?
J) And lastly a non AA question. I'm Sprint customer. Will my TreoWX reach/grab signal at the SJU airport? Is it the regular signal or roaming?
Alrighty... Thats about it. I don't want this going all the way to Z.
Thanks for any help. I appreciate it and warmest wishes from all of US!
