Friends flying DJ, flew BNE-SYD then CBR just as I was informed on the QF flight.
I think it's an air traffic control thing... but don't know why.
I have been flying BNE-CBR for years (11 all up) at least 2/3 times a month. Just recently - or at least in the last 12 months - I've noticed that the flight has tracked regularly over Sydney. It does add to the flight time. For nearly all the time previously we have tracked over Tamworth, Mudgee and then direct into Canberra. Does anyone know the exact reason for this??
