I'm hoping to buy a land package tour which begins in Cairo.

My flight would not arrive until about 2300, & I need to spend the night in Cairo before the rest of the tour group arrives the next day.

Because I am an American woman traveling alone, will I be safe on my own? I plan to dress according to muslim standards of modesty for foreign women, but can I depend on local taxi drivers to deliver me to my hotel in a safe manner?

Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.
