Just out of curiosity, is there any chance you could route to PEK from SFO via Air China? Not sure if you've booked or have an itin on hold, but although they aren't *A, I believe their flights count toward EQM and you can redeem awards on them as well.

Granted this is from .bomb, so I'd feel more comfortable if an FT can confirm this.

Relax ... I think PTravel was just pointing it out to make life easier when looking up resource for the trip... a google search of Peking pulls up the duck in 2 of 4 top search items while Beijing pulls up the city's official page. I imagine there was no major political statement being made...

And Bejing is the only big mainland change I can think of. It's not like China is pronounced "China" in chinese (Zhonggou), Hong Kong is still Hong Kong (not Xiānggǎng).

So back to my initial statement... everybody just calm down and relax
