I am afraid Vulcan's statement is incorrect. Here is the info off of the Northwest website:
Continental Airlines
On flights operated by Continental Airlines, the following paid fare classes will receive 50% Elite Qualifying Miles effective January 1, 2004:
Continental Q, I, S, W, T, X or L fares on flights operated by Continental
Northwest V, L, T, or K fares on flights operated by Continental
Delta L, U, or T fares on flights operated by Continental
http://www.nwa.com/features/dlcomileage.html
NOTE THAT 50% EQMs are only earned on FLIGHTS OPERATED BY CONTINENTAL... All DL/NW-operated flights, no matter if sold as CO, Malev Hungarian, KL, NW or DL, should still earn 100% EQMs on all fares.

discount tickets bought from CO but operated by NW will still earn 100% EQM
No. If you buy AT CO.COM fares in Q, I, X, S, T, L will only earn 50% EQM when directing miles to a WP account. The lowest CO fare code that would earn 100% EQM is V.
Its irrelevant that the flight is operated by NW.
