Here's another thing to consider ... if UA truly falls apart (not just Chapter 11 reorg, but a true blue, good night Gracie, sell off the pieces BR),
someone is going to have to replace their hub at IAD. My money would be on DL expanding their presence there (and rolling back their service at DCA by a corresponding amount). (While I'm on the subject, does anyone have any guesses as to how likely this might be? I'd think it well within the realm of possibility.)
So you may not have much chance to fly DL now, but who knows how many new opportunities you'll get in the next year or two?
