Sharon... how does someone based in CA have a KLM account the best way is what erik said, use the points from your account to upgrade her. in all probability, you wil be flying from AMS to wherever on KLM as NW doesnt fly there. The upgrade availability using NW miles on KLM is like trying to use CO miles for any type of a award ticket...non-existant. Drop a note if you need anymore help... off to snowy APN in 24 hrs!
